Virus eradication is one of our specialties.

Viruses are very real, they are very prolific, and they are also getting very smart. Many virus scanners fail to detect the new ones, and even if they do, they sometimes can't suggest a cure. This places a huge burden on the end-user to handle self-disinfection, a daunting task that is becoming dangerous as viruses are designed to be more aggressive. We quickly research new viruses and discover the safest method of eradication to insure minimal damage to your data.

We Perform:
  • Removal of virus, replacement of boot sector, etc.
  • Recovery/rebuilding of hard disk contents.
  • Reinstallation of hard disk in computer system.
Despite our best efforts to get all your information back, some files may be unusable, and some data may be lost. We offer no guarantee that we can recover specific files. Our only guarantee is that we will give you our best effort, and that our technicians will do their work properly. We give you an estimated percentage of data and files that will be recovered. We keep you advised at every step of the recovery process, and let you decide how to proceed.

Virus Infection

The only way for a computer to get infected by a virus is if the virus program itself has a chance to execute on that computer. But there are many ways for this to happen. A virus can be transmitted as a self-contained program (which usually sneaks around attached to E-mails or embedded in data files), or, more commonly, as an adjunct to a legitimate program. Infection usually occurs when a user runs a legitimate program that has been infected with a virus. The legitimate program operates normally, but the virus program code also get the chance to run, possibly causing data loss and/or infecting other programs in the computer.

Viruses from Other People’s Programs

Whenever you run a program from a floppy disk that has ever been in somebody else’s computer, or run a program you downloaded from the Internet or a commercial on-line service, you run the risk of contracting a computer virus. Any program you receive from another computer, even one you think is a legitimate program, may have been infected by the computer on which the program was previously stored. These are the most conspicuous sources for viruses.

Viruses Received through E-mail

Viruses can be sent through E-mail as an "attachment" to the E-mail. An E-mail attachment is any type of computer file, including programs, that can be sent to a recipient along with the plain text message. When you open an E-mail that has attachments, most E-mail client programs will just save the attachment files to your hard drive. You may barely notice it happened. But if you later run that program from your hard drive, you will infect your computer if that program has a virus. To make things worse, some E-mail programs will automatically run any programs attached to an E-mail message at the time you open the E-mail, which will infect your system immediately if the attached program contains a virus. This is why you may have heard that simply reading an E-mail message can infect your computer with a virus.
